Engineered Mechanical Services Inc. (EMSI) has a position for experienced service technicians and installers to join our team! You will be servicing commercial and industrial HVAC equipment as applied for comfort but also industrial applications for labs, manufacturing, specialty cooling, dehumidification and heating systems.

Responsibilities
• Enjoy people and be able to communicate clearly, both written and verbally with confidence.
• Self-starter,
o must understand and be able to trouble shoot HVAC systems, all mechanical components (Chillers, pumps, air units, fans, cooling towers, package units up to 100 tons, split systems, VRF (variable refrigerant flow) systems, VAV systems along with electrical and control systems as related to typical HVAC equipment and systems. • Inspect and perform equipment repairs and replacements
• Perform routine preventative maintenance
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests
• Take after hours and weekend on call duty
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

• Previous experience in HVAC or other related fields (5 years minimum)
• Familiarity with HVAC wiring diagrams for high voltage and low voltage systems.
• Ability to handle lifting of 40+ lbs occasionally as well as a physical workload
• Must be able to work at ladder heights up to 10 ft. occasionally scissor lifts.
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Management skills to coordinate subs and several jobs at one time.
• Knows chilled water systems, rooftop package single zone and VAV systems.
o Troubling shooting skills
• NATE Certified is preferred
• EPA certified
• Clean DMV record and current driver's license

REQUIRED CERTIFICATOINS OR LICENSES:
Must have valid Driver's License
Must meet Company standards for annual Motor Vehicle Record check
Universal CFC certification required.

Additional certification in one or more of the following, is preferred: electrical, mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration systems, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry or engine repair.
