KANE Transport, Inc. is a Minnesota based petroleum carrier providing hazardous materials and liquid bulk service to the upper Midwest. We are currently looking for a shop/yard technician for our Inver Grove Heights location. This is an hourly benefited position working Monday through Friday, 4 PM start time

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
*Inspection of Transloader for proper/safe operation
*Inspection of rail car for proper/safe filling
*Proper attachment of tanker hoses to transloader and transloader hoses to rail car for proper transfer of liquid product
*Must be able to work with hot and or hazardous product
*Collect and verify that the proper product matches the required BOL paperwork
*Must be able to effectively communicate with all employees, customers and management personnel
*Tracking of all paperwork that is required for the Transloader process (employee schedules, BOL & etc.)
*Must be able to read/write in English in order to follow all OSHA, FRA, DOT and company policies/procedures
*All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Education/Skills Required:
*Basic knowledge of mechanic and maintenance skills
*Driver's license/clean MVR required
*Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
*High level of customer service
*Experience using a variety of lawn/snow removal equipment
*Experience with hand and power tools
*Climb in and out of trucks
*Kneel and squat
*Inside/outside working conditions required
*High school diploma or equivalent required
