Growing furniture company is looking for Delivery Driver Assistant with clean driving record and area knowledge. Assistant will help Lead Driver using company-owned straight trucks or similar.. 30 to 40 hrs per week, some overtime in peak seasons. Position pays $12 to $13+ per hour to start based on experience.

The Delivery Driver Assistant role is to deliver various types of bedroom furniture and provide installation services. Professionalism and a service orientation are key requirements for this role. Good customer service and communication skills are required.

Job Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers regarding delivery times and order information.
Assist, deliver, and set-up merchandise at customers' homes ensuring a great experience.
Responsible for delivery trucks and merchandise on the trucks.
Loading and organizing the orders for the day's route.
Picks up and loads product from vendor locations
May help unload freight trucks.
Backup warehouse duties when not on a delivery.
May inspect and touch up merchandise prior to loading.
Operate vehicle (if needed) in a safe and courteous manner.
Ability to ensure deliveries are made on time and without failure.

FURNITURE DELIVERY DRIVER ASSISTANT REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read maps and follow oral and written instructions.
Heavy lifting required -- up to 100 pounds. May be required to carry heavy merchandise up stairs.
Must wear uniform and maintain personal appearance by following company dress code requirements.
Must have and maintain a good driving record in accordance with company policy.
Must be 24 years of age.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday (if needed)
Subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
Delivery or warehouse experience preferred.
